Do you want to know how to get started processing your own alpaca fleece? Have a fleece, but don’t know where to start? This class is for you! Learn how to take a raw fleece, right off the animal, skirt it, wash it, dye it, card it and blend it with value added fibers to achieve a desired end product!
The talented and experienced teacher Elizabeth Taylor of Spottedcircus Alpacas & Llama will be back again this year!
Elizabeth is a spin off judge for AOA (Alpaca Owners Association Inc.) and she is a Master Fiber Classer. She sorts fiber for ACOA (Alpaca Coalition of America) and large alpaca farms across the country. She also runs a successful Etsy shop.

Day 1: Learn how to select an ideal alpaca fleece for hand processing.
Wash and dye an alpaca fleece.
Learn how to dye other value added fibers (such as bamboo).
Day 2: Learn how to use a drum carder and card the alpaca fleece and other dyed fibers from Day 1.
How to sell and market your products will also be shared!
*8:30am-4pm both days
